Ramon Casas i Carbó (1866-1932) was a Catalan Spanish artist. He was born in Barcelona and ever since childhood, he studied painting. He was a co-founder of the magazine Avenç. With his cousin, he fled to Paris, where he also studied art at the Academy of Carolus Duran and Gervex. He painted mostly female nudes.
