"Diskretes Blau" is an oil painting by Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky (also known as Wassily Kandinsky). The painting was created in 1929 and belongs to the period when Kandinsky was already in Germany and was one of the main representatives of abstract art. The painting is abstract and does not depict specific objects or figures. Instead, it is a composition that is based on color and geometric elements. The name "Diskretes Blau" can be translated as "Discrete Blue," which refers to the dominant color in the image. The color blue is present in various shades and tones throughout the picture. The image creates the impression of a level of blue color that seems almost endless. Kandinsky creates the illusion of space and depth through different shades of blue.
In the center of the picture is a large square or rectangle that contrasts with the surrounding abstract forms. This central shape is essentially symmetrical and can act as a focus of attention.
The painting "Diskretes Blau" is known for its simplicity and abstract purity. Kandinsky was deeply influenced by theories about the relationship between color and emotion, and this painting can evoke different emotional responses in the viewer.
Kandinsky painted picture Diskretes Blau in 1926. Prevailing color of this fine art print is blue and its shape is portrait. This image is printed on demand - you can choose material, size and finishing.
Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944). Russian painter and art theorist. One of the most famous painters of the 20th century. He gained fame through his abstract paintings. After the First World War, he moved to Germany, where he worked until 1933, when he fled the Nazis to France. He lived in France until his death. Kandinsky worked a long way to get to his abstract painting technique (he was fascinated by symbolism and the psychology of colour). Kandinsky’s most famous works belong to the Bauhaus movement - an artistic movement of the 20s and 30s. It is characterized by sharp, geometric shapes (circles, wedges, triangles, etc.), clear colours and thoughtful treatment of surfaces. Perhaps the most famous work of this era is Yellow - red - blue (1925).
