German Oscar Bluemner (1867-1938) to painting came later. He began his career by studying architecture and design in Berlin. Only when in 1904 he moved to Chicago, he began to discover his talent for painting. Architecture was nurtured for nine more years. Designed houses. Discovered combination of colors and emotions.
